When I announced that I had officially started my photography business a few weeks ago, I had thought it would take a while to start booking sessions, and I was totally okay with that! But to my happy surprise, I got a message just a few days later asking if I would be available for an engagement session! I was so excited at the opportunity to photograph TJ and Sandie! Not only are they an adorable couple to work with, but they also friends of ours from church!
TJ and Sandie were so understanding when our first date had to be rescheduled due to weather (and then of course the weather ended up clearing up that day… Ha) But it ended up working out so well, because the weather for our rescheduled date was beautiful!! Just wait until you see the gorgeous glow. 🙂
We had so much fun throughout our session! TJ is full of jokes and had us both laughing all evening (as you will see!) It was also so sweet for me to see the way he cares for his bride-to-be. One of my favorite moments happened at the end of the session… the sun was setting over the pond behind them, and I suddenly heard TJ singing “Kiss the Girl” to Sandie, and then Sandie joined in and started singing it back to him. It was SO cute!!
I just love how TJ and Sandie are committed to helping each other grow in so many ways. They challenge and encourage each other to be healthy, by eating well and taking care of their bodies. They challenge each other to strengthen their musical skills through participation in multiple choirs. (Including our church’s choir! They sound amazing!!) And most importantly, they challenge each other to learn more about and grow in their faith together. It is so encouraging to witness their excitement for marriage and for learning more about their faith! During our session, they recommended some CDs about the Catholic faith they had recently finished over the course of some long drives, and even gave me one by Dr. Scott Hahn so I could listen too. I stared listening to it on my way home from the session and I was hooked! Thank you guys for passing it along!!
I am so grateful for their friendship and can’t wait to see the amazing plans God has for them and their marriage!
God bless you two!! <3
