What an amazing couple!! Ana and Sam met through the St. Paul Catholic Center at the University of Wisconsin. Sam had recently graduated from UW and was working an internship as a retreat coordinator at St. Paul’s, and Ana was a student and one of the retreat volunteers. After Sam’s internship ended, they dated long-distance for a few months before Sam received a job offer which brought him back to Madison. Just a few months later, Sam proposed to Ana in the beautiful chapel at St. Paul’s! You can read more about their story in their own words in a special feature in Spoken Bride here.
Since Ana and Sam’s story began at the University of Wisconsin AND they will be getting married at St. Paul’s this summer, we decided it would be awesome to share their story by taking their engagement photos around campus! We started off with some super fun Badger gear in front of iconic spots like Bascom Hall and State Street. We then spent some time in and around St. Paul’s, where they even got to pray together in the chapel. (I can’t wait to capture more of this on their wedding day!!) Finally, we ended with some beautiful portraits at the Union Terrace in front of the frozen Lake Mendota! We had such a blast!
It is such an honor for me to witness the love these two have for God, their faith, and each other. I am so excited for their beautiful wedding at St. Paul’s this summer!
Ana and Sam, you two are so great!! I hope you enjoy your engagement photos!
